Top Freelancer Websites: Make Money, Stay Busy & Grow Your Portfolio

I have a few very VERY hungry artist, geek and writer friends who I wish I could help. I know they need full-time jobs and fast but are they taking advantage of even the smaller project opportunities that can at least get them some rent paid for a month or buy some IAMS for Spot and Fluffy? Here are some freelance sites that are AWESOME and may just put you in a position to help thyself to some cash while keeping your skills fresh.

AND: THIS LOOKS GOOD ON A RESUME.

Example: Employer during interview: “Hey why haven’t you been working for six months?”

You, because you’re pro-active and kick ass: “Well, sir, the job market is a challenge BUT I have been keeping busy with freelance work! Allow me to show you my portfolio of recent art/publications/programs/apps!”

Get it? Good!
