Chris Kuchta: Horror Artist

Website: www.horrorartist.com

About the Client

Chris Kuchta is a talented, established horror artist who needed an updated design to better showcase his work and merchandise. He also needed a more robust e-commerce platform. Chris wanted a website that used his artwork in the design and didn't look like a 'cliche' horror site.

Challenges & Goals:

Chris had multiple media-based content areas to feature on his site and they need to be presented in an organized, aesthetic manner, while tying them to their corresponding merchandise in his online store. We set him up with Next Generation galleries for his art and his photos of horror celebrities and linked his artwork to his prints from within the lightbox previews of the artwork itself. This was to encourage visitors to make a purchase while making as few clicks as possible.

We also set him up with the Shopp plugin, a heavy-duty online shopping cart solution that will allow him to sell many kinds of merchandise in different categories, use a shipping calculator, implement secure payment gateways and much more.

Outcome:

The final product is an incredible showcase of his talent and the many prints and other merchandise he has to offer. He has an updated blog that will allow him to keep up wit his fans and share news and an event calendar that syncs directly with his Google Calendar. It was a really fun project and we're proud to have been able to help Chris out!
