About the Client
Paul Bonrud is an internationally acclaimed rock musician. His latest Bonrud album was due to release in a couple of weeks and he needed a professional-looking band website with a fully functional online store up in a very short amount of time. Rough Ride Creations was definitely up to the task! Paul wanted a site that would act as an organized hub for all of his communications, multimedia content, professional profiles and social media accounts, allowing anyone to reach him easily or make a purchase of his music, from any number of avenues online.
Challenges & Actions:
This project came with a ticking clock, as Paul needed a website in two weeks or less due to his latest album releasing. We needed to have all of his albums, song files, content, images etc to make the design process go as smoothly as possible. We also had very little time to brainstorm and come up with a fully realized custom design.
In order to turn this project around in the shortest time frame possible, we assisted Paul in selecting a premium WordPress theme that had the functionality he was looking for built in, so we would have to do as little extra coding and development as possible. He was extremely responsive and on the ball and got us all of the content we needed in only a couple of days, in the formats we'd requested, making build-out of the site's content a breeze. We kept the overall design very simple and clean, and Paul provided background and other imagery for the design.
Outcome:
Paul's organization and responsiveness enabled us to crank out a snappy, well-organized band website for him in record time, with the WordPress CMS allowing him a level of customization and control he simply didn't have before on his old, clunky HTML site. He's now able to sell his MP3 songs and CDs from his own website, no longer having to rely on a 3rd party CD retailer to handle it for him.
Paul was really a joy to work with and his attentiveness, organization and timely input helped us get the site designed and launched without a hitch!
